He was predeceased by: his parents, Pasquale Guiffreda and Virginia Giaratano Guiffreda; his former wife Kathy Scaffer Guiffreda; his daughters, Debbie Guiffreda Lee and Linda Sue Guiffreda; his siblings, Pas, Philip, Lena, Patty, Sarah, Frank, Annie and Mary; his son-in-law David Backelmann; and his grandson Matthew Jake Guiffreda.
He is survived by: his wife Wina Ree Guiffreda; his children, R. J. Guiffreda, Jr. (Rhonda) and Kathleen Guiffreda Backelmann; his son-in-law Julian Lee; his stepdaughters, Vicki Spring (Bob) and Christi McIntosh (Bill); his grandchildren, Adam Lee, Brandon Lee, Ben Backelmann (Sandra), Erin Backelmann Moore, Jennifer Johnston (Bard) and Brad McIntosh (Amy); and his great grandchildren, Addison, Parker, Sydney, Kolbey, Laken, Louis, Presley, Jake, Tori, Seth and Macy.
A graveside service was held on Monday, August 24th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Riverwood Memorial Park.
