Sam Laird Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on February 4, 2025, at the age of 93, Sam Laird of Brookhaven, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Laird and Louise Nettles Laird; his siblings, Albert Laird, Bertha Garza, Francis Schmidt and Monell Callendar; and his grandson Adam King.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Laird; his children, Tim Laird, Scotty Laird, Cindy King (Stan) and Jill Evans (Jack); his siblings, Troy Laird and Sue Barnette; his grandchildren, Anna Smith (Chad), Paxton King (Erin), Nicole Case (Mark), Laina Goldsmith (Dustin), Jeremy Laird (Charlee), Madison McCarroll (Ben), Samuel Evans, Mia Evans and Carter Evans; and his close friend Donna McGehee. He is also survived by eighteen great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church building fund.
