Sue Wooten Leggett Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 5, 2025, at the age of 77, Sue Wooten Leggett of Brookhaven, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnny Wooten and Alice Wooten; and her sister Dorothy Wooten. She is survived by: her husband Roger Leggett; her children, Stacy Walker (Dustin), Jonathan Burgess (Jessica) and Brooke Burgess; her stepchildren, Joe Leggett (Stacy) and Jana Moak; her aunt Annie Sue Case; her friend Geneva Cook Hill; and her grandchildren, Alice Walker Malmstrom (Jake), Gatson Walker, Cooper Moak, Abbigail Burgess, Emry Moak, Laci Brooke Leggett and Aubrey Burgess.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM and on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Brookhaven Funeral Home (894 Natchez Dr NE, Brookhaven, MS 39601). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM at the Rosehill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund (Building on Faith Campaign) 200 E. Monticello St. Brookhaven, MS 39601.
