He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Shell and Allie Shell; his brother Roy Shell, Jr. (Loretta); and his brother-in-law David Griffin. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Beach Shell; his sons, Matthew Shell (Lucy) and Michael Shell; his granddaughter Katherine Shell Harris (Payton); his great grandchild Eva Lynn Harris; and his sisters, Elizabeth Griffin and Linda Carraway (Mike).
