She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Scott and Lessie Lorena Broadus Scott; her daughter Peggy Bosma; and her son-in-law Sonny Watts. She is survived by: her brother Bill Scott (Al) of Mobile; her husband James Monroe Mayfield; her children, Linda Watts and Jim Mayfield (Rachel); and her grandchildren, Gwen Bateman (Michael), Mike Collins, Wesley Watts, Megan Parker (Max), Tracy Mayfield (Cam), Heather Mitchem (Derrick), Heath Mayfield, Ethan Mayfield, Emily Mayfield, Brian Tingle (Autumn) and Chris Tingle (Michelle). She is also survived by many other great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 21st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Brooklyn (50 Main Ave, Brooklyn, MS 39425). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are kindly welcomed to First Baptist Church of Brooklyn.
