He was predeceased by: his mother Myrtle Barefield; his wife Barbara "Kay" Barefield; his father Hubert Wayne Barefield; Myrtle Sartin Barefield. He is survived by: his children, Jason Morris Barefield (Jessica) of Bruce, MS and Demeka Kay Church (Jason) of Franklin, TN; and his grandchildren, Lucy Rae Barefield, Sullie Grace Barefield, Samantha Lucille Church and Greyson Hubert Church.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 8th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Parker Memorial Funeral Home - Bruce (476 MS-9, Bruce, MS 38915). A graveside service will be held on Sunday, November 8th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Old Field Cemetery.
