With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Catherine Ann Starr of Caledonia, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 29, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Corwin and Zoella Schabatka Corwin; her husband Robert Starr; her son Jack Starr (Kathy); her granddaughter Danielle Elaban; and her sister Terry Vought (Eddie).
She is survived by: her children, Robert Starr (Vonnie), Michele Winters (William), Rebecca Elaban (Lee) and William Starr (Rhonda); her grandchildren, Brian Starr (Melanie), Mindy Starr, Joseph Winters (Jennifer), Nalani Rulli (Bryan), Anna Starr-Williams (Jake) and LeeAnn Starr-Sweat (Shane); and her nephew Barry Lance. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Lowndes Funeral Home (1131 Lehmberg Rd, Columbus, MS 39702). A memorial service was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
