He was predeceased by: his father Douglas Amos Towles, Sr.; and his brother Frankie Flynn. He is survived by: his mother Dorothy Ann Flynn Towles; his siblings, Tony Towles (Jennifer), Kelly Smith (Robby), Shane Towles (Diana), Michael Towles and Jonathan Towles (Kristie); his friend Ben Hathaway; and his close friend Linda Parker. He is also survived by five nieces and three nephews; twelve great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his honor can be made at local Pet Shelters, Humane Societies, the NRA, American Legion, VFW or the DAV.
