He was predeceased by : his parents, Alvin Butler and Polly Butler; and his siblings, Emmy Rayner, Alice Dobson, Faye Deer and Harold Butler.

He is survived by : his wife Betty Butler of Caledonia, MS; his children, Tyrone F. Butler (Demarla), Toby A. Butler and Allison Thomas (Jamie); and his siblings, Bonnie Foley and Bobby Butler. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
