He was predeceased by : his parents, Furman Garner and Cora Bell McElhenney Garner; and his sons, Gary Garner and David Garner. He is survived by : his wife Dorothy Kemp Garner of Caledonia; and his children, Ricky Garner and Rita Jackson (Randal). He is also survived by eight grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
