He was predeceased by: his parents, Marilynn L. Wineland Murphy and Ernest Murphy; and his parents-in-law, James Rambo and Betty Gallop Rambo. He is survived by: his wife Sandra J. Rambo Murphy; his son James Michael Murphy; his siblings, Patrick Murphy (Debby), Terri Collmar (Mike) and Kathy Parenti; and his sister-in-law Alice Cunningham (Johnny).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Lowndes Funeral Home (1131 Lehmberg Rd, Columbus, MS 39702). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
