She was predeceased by: her parents, Gannon Paul and Audie Mae Pickens Rakestraw; and her siblings, William Rakestraw, Roger Rakestraw, Willis Dale Rakestraw and Sue Hurley.
She is survived by: her daughters, Tina Scruggs of Hamilton, MS and Terri Williams of Caledonia, MS; and her grandchildren, Amanda Cathy, Leigh-Ann Underwood and James Daniel Blanton. She is also survived by four great grandchildren.
