He is survived by: his wife Juanita Eaves Vernon McCool; his children, Sterling McCool (Misty) and Cassie Roberts (Brandon); his stepchildren, Gerald Vernon (Angela), Jean Kimbrell (Jimmy) and Shelia McCormick; his grandchildren, Jereson McCool and Elijah McCool; and his sister Shirley Thomason.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Authentic Church (311 Tuscaloosa Rd, Columbus, MS 39702). A funeral service was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
