He was predeceased by: his parents, R. Harry Schaeffer and Evelyn Schaeffer. He is survived by: his wife Grace Schaeffer; his son Scott Schaeffer (Gayle); his grandchildren, Andrew and Laura Schaeffer; and his siblings, Judith Heins and Ralph Schaeffer.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Bill's memory to Animal Resue League of Berks County, a cause that was close to his heart.
