He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Nunez, Sr. and Agnes Serigne Nunez; and his siblings, Leon Nunez, Jr., Nelson Nunez, Sr., Agnes Licciardi and Leona Prats.
He is survived by: his wife Jeannette Marie Nunez; his children, Melanie Schmidt (George), Kelly Nunez, Sr. (Marlene) and Sharon Drake (Paul); and his grandchildren, Shannon Pentney (Benny), Dana Landry, Kelly Nunez, Jr. (Kristin), Jonathan Lafuentas (Diana), Nick Drake and Seth Drake (Maegan). He is also survived by his loving wife, children, grandchildren, and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church (1000 Goodyear Blvd, Picayune, MS 39466). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the New Palestine Cemetery (2336 Palestine Rd, Picayune, MS 39466).
