He was predeceased by: his parents, William Travis Palmer and Nellie O. Stockstill Palmer; his son John T. Palmer, Jr. (Lori); his sisters, Marie Seal and Ruth Gray; his granddaughter Mary Palmer; and his great grandchild Madelyn Miller.
He is survived by: his wife Kaye Frances Sones Palmer; his daughter Debbie K. Jarrell (Milton); his sister Sherra Nell Smith; his grandchildren, Nicky Jarrell (Kesha), Casey Palmer and Travis Palmer; his great grandchild Macy (Mason); and his great great grandchildren, Bennett, Malaya, Saraya and Mallorie.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 2nd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home (401 W Canal St, Picayune, MS 39466). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 2nd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel (401 W Canal St, Picayune, MS 39466). A graveside service was held on Monday, February 2nd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Carriere Cemetery (7264 HWY. 11, Carriere, MS 39426).
