He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman E. McCown and Neva Marie Dyer McCown; his daughter Kari Kae Bourg; and his siblings, Norman E. McCown, Gerald McCown, Wendell Keith McCown, Bob McCown, Ethel McCown and Mary Ruth McCown.

He is survived by: his wife Sandra Kay Cox McCown; his children, Harriet Jane Landry (Dean), Melissa K. Griffith (Michael), Melanie Ann Hebner (Jerry), Donita Louise Bello (Alejandro) and Darron Conrad (Suzette); and his siblings, Norma Jean Omelanuk, Wynona McCown, Ronnie McCown and Steve McCown. He is also survived by his 16 grandchildren; his 17 great grandchildren.
