She was predeceased by : her husband Harlon Page Jarrell; her parents, Steven Farkus and Mary Elizabeth Vanyo Farkus; her daughter Janet Lynn Thigpen; and her siblings, Mike, Joe, Gladys, Ellen, Marge, Betty and Dorothy.

She is survived by : her sons, Jerry "Fred" Jarrell, George Allen Jarrell (Betty Jean), Michael Victor Jarrell (Jinny), Harlon Page "Sonny" Jarrell, Jr. (Scarlett) and Mark Timothy Jarrell (Marsha). She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, February 23rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Byrd's Chapel United Methodist Church (26 Byrds Chapel Rd, Carriere, MS 39466). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 23rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, February 23rd 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Byrd's Chapel Cemetery (20 Sones Chapel Rd, Carriere, MS 39466).
