She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Rudolph Spillmann and Cynthia Louise Lemmler Spillmann; and her brother Paul Spillmann, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Harold Raymond Merritt, Jr.; her sons, Glen Merritt and Keith Merritt (Cynthia); her grandchildren, Nicholas (Aimee), Joshua (Ashley), Jacob and Sophia; and her great grandchildren, Bailey and Weston.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 24th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church (1000 Goodyear Blvd, Picayune, MS 39466). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, February 24th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, February 24th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the New Palestine Cemetery (2336 Palestine Rd, Picayune, MS 39466).
