It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carroll J. Mitchell of Carrollton, Mississippi, who passed away on April 6, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Lena Mae Mann Hopper Sr. and Clarksdale; her husband Stewart Byron Mitchell; her daughter Tammy Mitchell Hart; and her siblings, Marie Hopper Utz, Dorothy Hopper Hopkins, George W. Hopper Jr. and Elvin Hopper.

She is survived by : her daughter Tracy Mitchell DuVall (Mark) of Olive Branch; her grandchildren, Shane Floyd, Adrianne Peacock (Phillip), Byron Pemberton, David DuVall and Kyle DuVall; her great grandchildren, Brinkley Floyd, Dallas Floyd, Wesley Floyd and Kyle DuVall, Jr.; and her son-in-law J. R. Hart of Mize. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Oliver Funeral Home (113 Liberty St, Winona, MS 38967). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Poplar Springs Baptist Church. A burial was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at the Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
