With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sammie Arritt Long of Carrollton, Mississippi, who passed away on July 27, 2025 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, C. E. Arritt and Dixie Lee Goodin Arritt. She is survived by: her husband Tommy Long of Carrollton, MS; her sons, Trinity Long of Carrollton, MS and Drew Long of Carrollton, MS; her siblings, Melinda Beachum of Fredericksburg, VA, Diane Fontenot of Ville Platte, LA, Glen Fontenot of Youngsville, LA, Tim Arritt of Murfreesboro, TN and Ray Arritt of Partlow, VA; and her grandchildren, Baylee Long, Brelyn Long, Brenna Long, Blair Long, Rhett Long, Kaiden Rayburn and Bryce Rayburn.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Carrollton Baptist Church (113 Washington St, Carrollton, MS 38917). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
