He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Wesley Tackett and Gladys Jenkins Tackett; his brother Bobby Tackett; and his stepson Billy Ray Philley, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Tackett of Carrollton, MS; his daughters, Staci Tackett Ward of Oxford, MS and Amy Tackett of Greenwood, MS; his stepdaughter Phoebe Philley of Greenwood, MS; his sisters, Jean Taylor (Dwight) of Carrollton, MS, Elloweise McNeal (Jim) of Greenwood, MS and Brenda Tanksley of Carrollton, MS; and his grandchildren, Trey Oates, Shae Wood, Nikki Philley and Morgan Hardison. He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.
