He was predeceased by: his parents, Ollie White and Christine Black; his son James Wheaton, Jr.; his brother Milton Black; and his great grandchild Kaiden McDonald.
He is survived by: his wife Virgie Black; his children, Jennifer Patrick, Jessica Wheaton and Alan Wheaton; and his sisters, Mary McAllister, Helen Brown (Hosea) and Betty Black. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.
