He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruby McMurry and Leon McMurry; and his sister Joyce Coleman. He is survived by: his wife Frances McMurry of Carthage; his children, Kristi Salers (Danny) of Carthage, Tommy McMurry, Jr. (Robin) of Carthage and Barry McMurry (Tammy) of Carthage; his grandchildren, Valerie Williamson (Zach), Ashley McMurry, Larissa Salers, Dustin McMurry and Wesley McMurry (Catherine); and his sisters, Nell Chipley (Mike) and Hilda Lepard (Jimmie). He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Pine Grove Church of God (93 Adams Rd, Carthage, MS 39051). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family requests all memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
