He was predeceased by: his parents, Leland Lowery and Judy Shaw Lowery; and his sisters, Betty Jean Lowery Dees and Kitty Earlyne Lowery Levy. He is survived by: his wife Berene Hughes Lowery; his children, Scott Lowery (Pam) of Oxford, Chris Lowery (Christie) of Water Valley, Michelle Lowery Gussman (Bill) of Baton Rouge and Michael Lowery (Jessica) of Brandon; his grandchildren, Cory Lowery, Josh Lowery, Blake Lowery, Jessica Lowery, Jordan Lowery, Amanda Gussman Laiche, William Gussman, Lucien Steen, Alex Steen and Beckett Lowery; and his great grandchildren, Olivia Lowery, Landon Lowery, Luke Lowery, Foster Lowery and Parker Lowery.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Newsom Funeral Home (911 E Main St, Charleston, MS 38921). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Bud's name to First Presbyterian Church of Charleston, Mississippi, or to a charity of your choice.
