She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruby Jewel Greer and Ruby Jewel Mathis (Jimmy Bowen). She is survived by: her children, Lori Bowen Pernell (Aaron) of Oakland, MS and Jimmy Daniel Bowen (Bobbie Gail) of Cleveland, MS.; her grandchildren, Candace Brooke West (Timothy), Laurel Hayden Peak (Cody) and Preston Daniel Bowen (Brittany); her great grandchildren, Caleb Jordan West, Bowen Jordan West, Henry Daniel Peak and Miracle Ryne Moore-West; and her siblings, H. S. Greer (Syble), J. D. Mathis (Roseann), Kenny Mathis (Gail), Martha Jynean Medders (Ed), Morris Glen Greer, James Terry Greer, J. W. Mathis, Freddie J. Mathis, Dora L Mathis (Patsy) and Sheila Ann Mathis.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Ray Funeral Home (206 Bishop Rd, Cleveland, MS 38732). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the North Cleveland Cemetery (1098 Old Hwy 61, Cleveland, MS 38732).
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Skene Baptist Church, and the family requests that all food donations be brought to Skene Baptist Church Fellowship Hall on the day of the service.
