He was predeceased by: his parents, Gavin West and Josephine West; his son Jeff West; and his siblings, Reon Holifield, Mildred Taylor and Rayford West.
He is survived by: his wife Sarah Stewart West; his daughter Tammy Thomas (Mark) of Clara, MS; his brother Dalton Loron West of Purvis, MS; his grandchildren, Josh Thomas (Jazlyn) of Buckatunna, MS, Maranda Nelson (Randy) of Clara, MS, Garrett Waites (Megan) of Mooresville, NC, Caleb Thomas (Mallory) of Clara, MS and John "Gopher" Cochran (Leigh Anne) of Petal, MS; and his great grandchildren, Chloe, Nathan, Paislie, Kendall, P. K., Easton, Ellie, Gavin, Sawyer, Sarah Catherine, Will and Luke. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Clara Church of God (227 Buckatunna Chicora Clara Rd, Waynesboro, MS 39367). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 at the White House Cemetery (11 Davis Singleterry Rd, Waynesboro, MS 39367).
