With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carol Cohen Slutsky (Clarksdale, Mississippi), born in Memphis, Tennessee, who passed away on October 17, 2023 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Sadie Wener and Simon Wener; and her former life partner Stanley Cohen. She is survived by : her husband Elliott Slutsky of Memphis; her children, Amy Devore (Jeff Devore), Fred Cohen (Shana Cohen) and Stuart Cohen (Stephanie Cohen); and her grandchildren, Ben Devore (Hope Grossman), Peyton Cohen, Ashley Devore, Sydney Cohen, Sam Cohen and Sadie Cohen.

The family has requested any donations be made St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Hadassah, and the Care Station in Clarksdale, which were all very close to her heart.
