We announce the death of Jo Ann Johnson (Clarksdale, Mississippi), who passed away on October 11, 2026, at the age of 88. Jo Ann will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband Hubert Lee "Jim" Johnson; her parents, O. A. Horton and Pauline Miller Horton; her sister Peggy Horton Evans; and her stepdaughter Sissy Johnson Morris.

She is survived by: her daughters, Sally Shook (Ronnie) of Cascilla, MS, Leigh Ann Glover (Greg) of Byhalia, MS and Mary Keller Russell (Greg) of Southaven, MS; her stepchildren, Trip Johnson of Starkville, MS and Ann Marie Seay (Brian) of Batesville, MS; and her grandchildren, Kelli Hillhouse (Brad), Matt Shook (Melissa), Anna Vaughn (Lance), Molly Leninger (Alex), Ethan Glover (Alexis), Keely Booth (Preston), Baylor Harris (T. J.), Avery Seay Everette (Garrett), Lorelei Johnson, Taylor Morris and Bailey Seay. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
