He was predeceased by: his wife Melva Maurine Simpson; his parents, Harvey Simpson and Lennie Simpson; his siblings, William Simpson, Wilson Simpson, Donald Simpson, Freddie Simpson, Sammy Simpson, Doris Simpson and Delcie Katherine Simpson; and his daughter-in-law Pamela Simpson.
He is survived by: his children, David Simpson, Hubert Simpson Sr. (Lisa) and Patricia Schad (Bruce); his brothers, Gilbert Simpson and Claude Simpson (Kathy); and his grandsons, Michael Ray Vaughn, Samuel Ray Vaughn, David Andrew Simpson and Hubert Edward Simpson Jr.. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home (314 E 2nd St, Clarksdale, MS 38614). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
