She is survived by: her children, Frank, Lorraine, Ernest, Jennifer of Clarksdale, MS, Abigail of Olympia, WA, John of Clarksdale, MS, Christopher and Mary of Laramie, WY; her grandchildren, Jennifer, Albert, Gabriel, Ian, Emma, Nicholas, Gavin, Ari and Francis; her great grandchildren, Perrine, Arthur and Orion; her sister Katherine "Kit" Turner; her nieces and nephews, Michael Waters, David Turner, Penny Vance, Valerie Waters, Tanya Turner and Robyn Turner; her husband Gary Ruskey-Halsey; her stepson Ryan Halsey; her stepgranddaughters, Bailey, Madeline and Gracelan; and her former husband Francis "Frank" Ruskey.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages planting a tree in memorial of Lou Dell (option online at funeral home website), and/or making a memorial donation to the Care Station community food & meal provider located in downtown Clarksdale, MS (next to the Delta Blues Museum).
