She was predeceased by: her husband Paul F. Simon; and her parents, James Stoddard and Nell Sellers Stoddard. She is survived by: her daughters, Pam Byrd of Clarksdale, MS, Patricia Keenum (Steve) of Westfield, IN and Paula Ainsworth of Tupelo, MS; and her grandchildren, Lisa Byrd Moore, Jill Keenum Boswell (Jeff) and Connor Hart (Derek). She is also survived by six great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home (314 E 2nd St, Clarksdale, MS 38614). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, Oakhurst Baptist Church designate to Baptist Children's Village, Lottie Moon or Missions.
