She was predeceased by: her husband W. D. "Dub" Garrett Jr.; her parents, John Pettit and Katherine Neaves Pettit; her brother Hillman Pettit; and her grandson Brian Garrett.
She is survived by: her children, John D. "Dub" Garrett (Carol) of Dundee, MS, Martha "Kathy" Katherine Jordan (Mike) of Dundee, MS and Sandy Perry of Dundee, MS; and her grandchildren, Slate Canon (Rob), Nick Harrison (Amy), Len Harrison (Penny), Jordan Harpole (Ross), Toby Garrett (Claudia), Shane Snyder (Melanie) and Matthew Garrett (Erica). She is also survived by seventeen great grandchildren.
