We are sad to announce that on July 6, 2025, at the age of 87, Julia G. Moore (Cleveland, Mississippi) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Julia departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Julia may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Julia leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her husband Dana Clifton Moore, Jr.; her sister Jere Gibert Stansel; and her brother-in-law Gene Stansel. She is survived by: her daughter Kilby Brabston; her son-in-law James Brabston; and her nieces, Julie Stansel Skinner (David), Martha Stansel Boyd (Bill) and Catharine Stansel Matthews (Brad).
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Calendar Calvary Episcopal Church (107 S Victoria Ave, Cleveland, MS 38732). A burial was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Shaw Cemetery (101 Faison St, Shaw, MS 38773). A requiem service was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Calvary Episcopal Church (107 S Victoria Ave, Cleveland, MS 38732).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Calvary Episcopal Church, the Alzheimer's Association, any humane society, or to the charity of your choice.
