He was predeceased by: his daughter Jolynne Jones Burns. He is survived by: his wife Bettye Jo McClellan; his daughter Jackie Massey (Ray); his granddaughter Kayleigh Burns; and his son-in-law Craig Burns.

In lieu of flowers, the family would be pleased to have memorial donations made to the Growing Together fund at Morrison Heights Baptist Church.
