He was predeceased by: his parents, Estella Butler-Crowell and Clyde Shay; and his sister Dorthy Crowell-Donaldson. He is survived by: his siblings, Thomas Earl Butler (Belinda) of Bolton, MS, Henry Earl Butler (Terrie) of Clinton, MS, Johnny Lee Crowell (Tracy) of Jackson, MS, Rosetta Sharif of Chicago, Dianna Donaldson (Nathaniel) of Bolton, MS, Tina Clemmons of Bolton, MS and Stephanie Crowell-Roberts (Alvin) of DeSoto, Texas. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Smith Mortuary (851 W Northside Dr, Clinton, MS 39056). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Ghost Baptist Church (208 E Northside Dr, Clinton, MS 39056).
