He was predeceased by: his parents, Estella Butler-Crowell and Clyde Shay; and his sister Dorothy Crowell-Donaldson. He is survived by: his siblings, Thomas Earl Butler (Belinda) of Bolton, MS, Henry Earl Butler (Terrie) of Clinton, MS, Johnny Lee Crowell (Tracy) of Jackson, MS, Rosetta Sharif of Chicago, Dianna Donaldson (Nathaniel) of Bolton, MS, Tina Clemmons of Bolton, MS and Stephanie Crowell-Roberts (Alvin) of DeSoto, Texas. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family.
