She was predeceased by : her husband Ted E. Smith; her son Lee Carlisle; her parents, Henry Gurves Hudson and Winnie Mae Buckley Hudson; her brothers, Alvin Hudson and Ray Hudson; and her daughter-in-law Cassandra Smith.
She is survived by : her children, Robin Butts (Charles), Greg Smith and Dale Smith (Amy); her grandchildren, Chris Smith, Matt Hollingsworth, Kate McBride, Emily McElroy, Kaylyn Smith, Laura Gatch, Steven Butts, Shannon Smith, Ryan Butts and Roan Smith; her great grandchildren, Nathan McBride, David "Digger" McBride, Ellie McBride, Hudson Smith, Layla Smith, Jack Gatch, Hayley McElroy, Andrew McBride and Colton Gatch; and her brother Joe Hudson (Betty Jo).
Memorials may be made to the Ted E. Smith and Rachel H. Smith Scholarship Fund at Mississippi College, or the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home in Monroe, LA.
