James Ragon Obituary

James Ragon, 83, of Arkabutla, MS passed away Friday, January 3, 2025 at his residence. He was retired from the Memphis Police Department and he was a veteran having served in the Navy. James served as a deacon at Evansville Baptist Church where he was a member. He is survived by his wife, Bonita Ragon; daughters, Beth Ragon Glaser (Garrett) and Janet Ragon Piacenti; sister, Elizabeth VanZandt (James); brother, Mac Ragon (Linda); grandchildren, David Rome McDaniel (Kendall), Stephanie Scoggins (Hayden), Joseph A. Piacenti (Laura), Ragon E. Piacenti, and Nicolas W. Piacenti; great grandchildren, Mason Smith, Kamryn Scoggins, Rylan Scoggins, Will McDaniel, J.T. McDaniel, Gracelynn Piacenti, and Hailey Ann Piacenti, and great great grandchildren, Mary Michael Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ezelle and Juanita Ragon; brothers, Ronnie Ragon and Henry Ragon, and grandson, Michael McDaniel. Memorials may be sent to Evansville Baptist Church.
