It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Clinton Rutland of Collins, Mississippi, who passed away on July 25, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse P Rutland and Emogene Duff Rutland; his siblings, Bobby Rutland and Doris Rutland Puckett; and his uncles, AC Rutland and Gilbert Rutland.
He is survived by: his daughters, Mellie Lee Rutland and Amanda Rutland Anderson; his grandchildren, Natalie Pace, Aiden Anderson, Adeline Rutland, Asher Anderson, James Parker Rutland and Alaina Anderson; and his brothers, Jesse Richard Rutland (Martha) and David Rutland (Linda). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Springhill Missionary Baptist Church (1385 William Warren Rd, Collins, MS 39428). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at the Blakely Baptist Church Cemetery.
