He was predeceased by : his parents, John Otis McDaniel and Lessie Lillie Hammond McDaniel; his sister Minnie Jo McDaniel; his stepson Douglas Ellzey; and his wife Joy King McDaniel.

He is survived by : his children, Clay McDaniel (Darlene) of Taylorsville, Debbie McDaniel of Farmington, MO, Betty Jo Jones (Jeff) of Hot Coffee and Annia Hargon (J. P.) of Hot Coffee. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; as well a host of other relatives and friends.
