She was predeceased by: her parents, W. J. Bass and Sarah Bass; her children, Marlene Bennett, Roselene Bennett and Kendall Bennett; her grandchildren, Thomas Bennett and Cindel Bennett; and her husband Jerry Sumrall.
She is survived by: her children, Cindy Welch (Tommy), Tim Bennett (Darla) and Benny Ray Bennett (Sandra); her grandchildren, Shane Bennett, Eric Bennett, Ben Bennett (Mindy), Caleb Bennett, Lauren Pace (Tanner) and Emily Welch; and her great grandchildren, Hayden Bennett, Brooke Bennett, Sophia Pace and Jackson Pace. She is also survived by her eleven siblings and is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Colonial Funeral Home (323 2nd St, Columbia, MS 39429). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
