It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Donna Phelps Fite of Columbia, Mississippi, who passed away on October 4, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Lyman Fite; her parents, John Douglas Phelps and Anne Bettis Phelps; her brothers, Doug Phelps of Nashville, TN and John Phelps; and her brother-in-law Larry Fite.
She is survived by: her children, Chris Fite (Jessie) of New Orleans, LA, Jim Fite (Rachel) of New Orleans, LA, Michael Fite (Kenlie) of New Orleans, LA and Anna Fite Pounds (Eddie) of Columbia, MS; her sisters, Sonya Fite of Foxworth, MS, Diann Meador of Hawesville, KY and Peggy Phelps of Nashville, TN; her grandchildren, Xander Sharp of New Orleans, LA, Mia Sharp of New Orleans, LA, Gabriel Pounds of Columbia, MS, Katherine Pounds of Columbia, MS and Lakota Sharp of New Orleans, LA; and her brothers-in-law, David Fite (Bertel) of Shreveport, LA and Mark Fite of Columbia, MS. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM.
