He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanford Ray and Clara Robbins Ray; and his siblings, Lanie Ray, Hubert Ray, Harris Ray, Jimmy Ray and Jewel Dean Ray.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Ann Thomas Ray of Columbia; his daughters, Anita Lafferty (Danny) of Ocean Springs and Beverly Miller of Mineral, Virginia; his grandchildren, Kreslie Lafferty, Noah Lafferty, Tyler Miller and Alec Miller; and his siblings, William Ray (Diane), Nan Messer and Dimples Boettcher. He is also survived by seven Great Grandchildren; one Great-Great Grandchild; three Step Grandchildren; and a host of Nephews, Nieces.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hathorn Funeral Home (167 Hwy 198, Columbia, MS 39429). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at the Woodlawn Cemetery.
