She was predeceased by : her parents, Mark Carter and Annette Boyd Morgan; and her siblings, Jan Carter, Jimmy Carter, Johnny Carter, Tommy Carter and Willie Carter.

She is survived by : her husband Andrew Jones; her children, Elizabeth Cox, Jenny Polk, Valerie Beasley, Micky Blansett, River Jones of Montana, Brooklynn Polk and Jesse Polk, Jr. (Michelle); and her sisters, Carolyn Bryant, Violet Blalock and Ann Carter. She is also survived by 52 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
