John Daniel Broom Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Daniel Broom of Columbia, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 13, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Irma Jean Lee Broom; his parents, Manton Broom and Frances Pace Broom; and his siblings, Ezell Broom, Readus Broom, Clifton Broom, Lloyd Broom and Carrie Bell Bass.
He is survived by: his sons, Jeff Broom (Renee) of Columbia and Tim Broom of Columbia; his grandchildren, Jordan Broom (Glori), Ethan Broom, Manton Broom (Elizabeth), Rebekah Bruce (Jie), Nathanael Mote and Bradley Broom (Patty); and his great grandchildren, Haven Broom, Artemis Broom, Minerva Broom, Zander Broom and Koa Broom. He is also survived by Nieces & Nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hathorn Funeral Home (167 Hwy 198, Columbia, MS 39429). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at the Manton Broom Family Cemetery (1083 Gates Rd, Columbia, MS 39429).
