She was predeceased by: her husband Jesse Charles Tagert; her daughter Deborah Wenzler; her parents, Rossie Stringer and Bessie Singley Stringer; her siblings, Louis Stringer, James "Jimmy" Stringer, Herman Stringer, Albert Stringer, Inez Stringer, Laura Nell Culliver (Angus) and Mary Lois Graham; and her grandson Daniel Tagert.
She is survived by: her daughter Lisa Simmons of Columbia; her brother Charles Anthony "Toney" Tagert; her grandchildren, Charles Wyatt Simmons and Trinity Brister; and her sisters-in-law, Frances Stringer, Minnie "Penny" Stringer and Helga Stringer. She is also survived by Nieces, Nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Lula's memory to Improve Baptist Church in Columbia.
