He is survived by: his wife Nettie Smith Sones of Columbia; his children, Gene Sones (Shawna) of Kokomo, Doug Sones of Columbia and Melissa Sutton (Jeremy) of Robertsdale; and his stepson Jason Sistrunk (Casey) of Lamar County.
