Nona Virginia Carroll Obituary

We announce the death of Nona Virginia Carroll of Columbia, Mississippi, who passed away on August 2, 2026, at the age of 98. Nona will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Bowles and Hattie Bowles; her children, Rhonda Holmes and John Carroll; her grandson Doug Reagan; and her husband William A. "Bill" Carroll, Jr..

She is survived by: her children, Deborah McDaniel (Donnie), Ann Lewis (Tim) and Jamie Carroll (Art Cook); and her grandchildren, Donna Holmes, Austin Holmes (Savannah), Robbie McDaniel, Allison McDaniel and Timothy Lewis. She is also survived by her siblings and also survived by five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Nona's honor to First Baptist Church of Columbia.
