She was predeceased by: her brothers, Joe Colbert and David Colbert; and her husband John E. Shaw. She is survived by: her daughter Gahlen (Harald); her stepchildren, Amy Thomas (Robert) and Johnny Shaw (Shirin); her grandchildren, Marcus Herzig (Stephanie) and Lydia (Gahlen); her great grandchild Louisa Herzig; and her sister-in-law Ann Fortenberry. She is also survived by nine nieces and nephew.
