We are sad to announce that on October 16, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Thomas Newton Fortenberry of Columbia, Mississippi. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Kimberly Gayle Reid Fortenberry; and his parents, Victor Hugh Fortenberry and Betty Sue Riley Fortenberry. He is survived by: his children, Jamie Fortenberry (Kimberly) of Columbia, MS and Breanne Johnston (Jason) of Hattiesburg, MS; his brother Victor Keith Fortenberry (Judy) of Hattiesburg, MS; and his grandchildren, Riley Kate Fortenberry, Andrew Thomas Fortenberry, Cooper Ryne Johnston and Addison Grace Johnston. He is also survived by Nephews, Nieces.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the Hathorn Funeral Home (167 Hwy 198, Columbia, MS 39429). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Woodlawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that you make donations to the Multiple sclerosis Organization or First Baptist Church of Columbia.
